Keeping our splashkids safe

The safety of your children is very important to us and we do our best to create a safe and secure environment at church. These are a few of the steps we’ve taken in the various age groups to make sure kids are safe. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact one of our Kids Ministry staff members.

splashtots and splashmates:

Our safety system is called ChildCheck. In the nursery through preschool rooms you are given a numbered tag when dropping off you child and your child gets that same number listed on their attendance sheet. We do this for 2 reasons:

  1. To insure that children are always picked up by someone authorized to do so, your child will only be released to the person who presents the ChildCheck tag.
  2. Our auditorium is equipped with an electronic paging system. If it is necessary to contact you during a gathering, your child’s ChildCheck number will be displayed on the pager so you can then report to your child’s class.

We want you to feel at peace when you leave your child with us. If during class your child becomes upset, we will make every effort to console them. If we are unable to do this, we will page you for assistance.

 splashK and splash123:

Children in our Kindergarten-3rd grade classes are not released on their own at the end of service but must be picked up by a parent, designated adult, or older sibling. Any child with a severe allergy, medical condition or special need will be given a ChildCheck number so we can contact the parent through the electronic paging system in the auditorium if needed.

Because 4th and 5th graders are maturing into a greater sense of independence, we dismiss them at the end of our celebrations. **Parents are asked to sign a “Wander Waiver” at the beginning of the year, confirming that their child has permission to be dismissed AND that they have designated a “family meeting spot” to reconnect after service.
